"Video Menu for Sonic Memo"

Your tech support question may be answered here...

I've created a series of videos that attempt to solve some of the more frequent problems that crop up. If you don't see what you need here, let me know and (unless it's way off-the-wall) I'll see if I can crank one out for you. (Video links below will open a new window.)

Q. I'm confused about the new Preferences window in SMPro 1.3 -- can you give me some pointers on how to deal with it?
A. I'll admit it's a sizable change, but once you understand it you'll see how it makes SMPro so much more powerful. Watch the video...

Note! Some of the following videos have "wonky" audio -- I was testing a new microphone (it failed). Some day when I have time (HAHAHA!) I'll redub the audio.

Q. Is there some sort of "get started" video available?
A. Yep, the Quick Start video that's linked on the sales page is here. Watch it more than once if you need to. Watch the video...

Q. Can I use FrontPage with Sonic Memo?
A. Sure, even though FrontPage is an evil program Sonic Memo will still work with it. Watch the video...

Q. Is it possible to use the Windows Sound Recorder to create MP3 files?
A. Yep, and while I don't really endorse it (since there's no way to edit the audio) it will certainly work to crank out some quick and dirty audio files.. Watch the video...

Q. I'm afraid all the audio I'm serving will use all my bandwidth. Is that a valid concern, and if so, is there anything I can do about it?
A. Depending on your traffic and the size of your audio streams, it may be a valid concern. This video shows one way to handle that problem (if too many people coming to your site can really be characterized as a problem). Watch the video...

Q. When I try to launch Sonic Memo nothing happens. What do I do now?
A. This usually only happens to people running Windows XP and it's caused by the OS deciding to fake you out and pretend that the downloaded file has been unzipped. The video here should help. Watch the video...

Q. I'm using SMPro and just need to upload a new MP3 file, do I have to go through all the steps again?
A. Nope. Even though SMPro isn't a general-purpose FTP client, you can still use it to upload updated MP3 files. Watch the video...

Q. I'm a real estate agent and have a site on Homes.com -- can I use Sonic Memo to put audio on those pages?
A. Surprisingly enough, since the Home.com site includes their "Storage Locker" feature, you can! Watch the video...
