"Tools, eBooks, Sites and
Everything Else I Can Find
About Web Site Audio"
Whether you buy Sonic Memo or not you NEED to explore what web site audio can do for you. In test after test it's found to increase sales, signups, and profits.
Isn't that what you want for your business???
Following is a comprehensive (although possibly not complete) list of everything I can find about web site audio on the internet. Some of the entries include "editorial comments" and others just consist of a link and description. Note: For the most part I've not included voice-over companies and the like -- this is stuff YOU can use to put audio on your own site.
Yes, some of the links below are affiliate links. Please help me out by using them. This information is available to you for free, but it really is worth something, isn't it? I'd consider your buying something via one of my affiliate links a great "thank you."
Web Site Audio Information (roughly alphabetical order):
(all links open in a new window)
Amazing Talking Websites (service)
ATW sells a service where they'll produce your script using professional voice talent and then they send you the audio file. They also have a free audio button with a generic greeting.
Audio C4 (ebook - so highly recommended you wouldn't believe it!)
When I created Sonic Memo I fixed what I thought was the most important part of web site audio -- making it quick and easy to do. But Paul Evans has the final word on web site audio -- what to say and how to say it! It's the PERFECT companion to Sonic Memo or any other web audio technology.
Audio Generator (monthly service)
From Armand Morin, this is a branded version of the original full-service audio provider (see down below), InstantAudio. The big feature of this service is the ability to record via telephone.
Audio Maker Pro (software)
Very nice-looking software (Windows only) that even includes the ability to record your message right inside the program. Ten different styles/colors of buttons to choose from and it looks to be easy to use.
Hear My Site (software)
For a reasonable price you
get a Play/Pause button that will play an MP3 file. Each button only plays a specific MP3 file, but you can always change the contents of that audio file. Not recommended simply because the guy behind this neat little tool is kind of rude.
How to Profit From Other People's Information (ebook/course)
A step-by-step course in using audio to make money by interviewing experts. This thing has everythig you need to know including how to contact the experts with an offer that will convince them to work with you. The price is great and the info in the course is fantastic.
InstantAudio (monthly service)
This is the original monthly audio service. Besides the very cool "record by phone" feature, IA includes the ever-popular Audio Postcards. If you want a "hands-off" audio solution and don't mind paying a monthly fee, InstantAudio is my recommendation.
Instant Product (ebook)
This isn't just another ebook about creating info products -- if you're into audio (and what are you doing here if you're not?!) this book will widen your horizons and get your brain buzzing about the possibilities. This is a great companion to Sonic Memo. Highly recommended.
InstantWebAudio.com (service)
These guys have a phone-to-audio service that saves the file (which they control on their servers) in RealAudio format.
Internet Audio Guy (software/hardware)
I start drooling every time I browse this site. I'm saving my money so I can get his Phone capture package. If you need better than Radio Shack sound, check out the selection at the Internet Audio Guy. (Update: I got his Ultimate Teleseminar package and it's awesome!)
MP3 Sound Stream (software)
Nicely-priced Windows-based software that compiles your MP3 or WAV file into a Flash-based audio controller. Lots of information on the site and plenty of buttons to choose from.
Sonic Memo (software)
What, you didn't think I'd leave this out just because it's mine? =:) In my humble, yet somewhat biased opinion, Sonic Memo is the best software you can buy for making your web site talk. It's also the only audio software I've found that's cross-platform -- yep, even Mac folks can use it!
Talking Website Generator (software/service)
This is a lot like Sonic Memo only it's Windows-only. They convert the MP3 file into a SWF file which is the main difference from Sonic Memo. They use Sonic Memo in their comparison chart and were quite fair, so I'm not going to dump on them here. =;)
Voices Into Profits (ebook)
Author James Maduk is a guy who knows what he's talking about when it comes to audio-based info products. If you think audio is a great way to present information, you need to read this ebook to learn how to profit from that.
